Brief description of the activities undertaken since last Five years

Institute of social transformation is working closely with All India Institute of local self-government (AIILSG) which is one of the oldest organizations in Asia established in 1926. This organization is working in rural, tribal and urban areas for sustainable livelihood development, poverty eradication, health improvement, environment protection, and improving quality of education and is actively involved in assisting various policies related to development in rural and urban areas. From its inception, Institute of social transformation is closely working with all India Institute of local self-government in various capacities. The impact assessment  assignments undertaken and completed  during last three years are as follows:

  1. Impact of Solarization on improving livelihood resources in drought prone programme  – Ministry of Power, Government of India
  2. The study of impact Rejuvenation of Natural Streams on livelihood resources, socio-economic and environmental condition of the farmers and vulnerable population in Latur block of Marathawada Region’
  3. Impact assessment of Natural Streams water conservation on agriculture, livelihood resources and environmental condition of the farmers and vulnerable population in Beed District of Marathawada Region’
  4. Impact assessment of integrated interventions on food security and livelihood on tribal communities of Thane and Palghar District .
  5. Bench marks, need assessment and situation analysis for undertaking various developmental and action research projects of Tribal community of most aspirant district Narmada of Gujarat State.
  6. Bench marks, need assessment and situation analysis for undertaking improving living conditions of rural community of Warangal District of Telangana State.
  7. Bench marks, need assessment and situation analysis for undertaking improving living conditions of rural community of Karimnagar District of Telangana State.

  1. Community assessment and situation analysis for undertaking various developmental and action research projects.
  2. Preparation of customized educational material for projects related to Reproductive Health, education, livelihood resources and skills development.
  3. Training programs at various levels for development of human resource needed for community development.
  4. Training and research in the field of Environment protection and promotion.
  5. Conducting training and research in strengthening government health services in rural and tribal areas.
  6. Conducting research for impact assessment of developmental projects.
  7. Conducting various social educational programs at community level.
  8. Conducting survey at large-scale for assessing the feasibility of the projects.
  9. Developing and monitoring the information system of various projects.
  10. Conducting street plays for community motivation.
  11. Providing guidance and training for community participation.
  12. Helping in conflict resolution at community level for smooth implementation of the projects.
